Tiger Brothers – Hunter and Clarence
Though Hunter was the first born, he was a little slower at starting than his brother, Clarence. Once he was born he not only took several drawn out seconds to take his first breath, but he also took his time finding his first drink of milk from his mother. Once he found it though, he certainly made up for lost time and has been doing so ever since!
He generally is a bigger eater than his brother which has led to him being slightly larger in size. This tends to give him an advantage at times when he is playing with Clarence.
Hunter is probably the more affectionate of the two and enjoys some down time with his handlers. Although, you do not want to get in between him and his food, as he loves his tucker!
Unfortunately, Hunter was born with a congenital eye condition which led to him developing cataracts at just a few weeks of age. Despite the efforts of some of the world’s leading surgeons, Hunter’s complex condition means that he will be vision impaired for the rest of his life.
Because of this, he will spend the rest of his life at Australia Zoo, as we can provide him with the quality care that he deserves. Hunter is an incredibly confident individual who has adapted beyond our expectations.
